The Ayesha Foundation is a charitable organization whose vision is to offer quality free eye hospital in Pakistan to all in society irrespective of their sex, origin, color or belief. The foundation’s major mission involves the avoidance and suppression of blindness by rendering the following eye care services: Tertiary hospital-based eye care, community-based prevention of blindness care, need-based development of human resources, promotion of research in Eye diseases and Development of suitable and inexpensive technology.


The primary activities that Ayesha Foundation focuses on include conducting free eye checkup near me camps in order to provide medical assistance for the needy. These camps are arranged time and again at different places giving a chance to the people to get themselves checked up for eye problems and even eye surgeries free of cost. The free eye checkup camps are run by qualified doctors with professional experience including those with postgraduate qualifications. Though the doctors are updated with the latest technique and technologies through local as well as international courses, training and conferences.


To support the doctors who are in practice, Ayesha Foundation has also procured some of the best equipment from developed health-conscious countries in the world such as the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. Cataract surgeries, corneal transplants and other minor eye ailments are treated with the help of such vision technologies. The total capital investment in this equipment is estimated to be about Rs 673 million ($ 6. 8 million) which has been funded by private and corporate funding.

 


The Ayesha Foundation has  affiliated hospitals throughout the country now, the equipment, as well as the doctors, are all first-rate. The hospitals also offer their various solutions such as cataract operations, corneal relocating, and other eye procedures. The foundation also has senior ophthalmologists, some of who are professors, working for the foundation as honorary consultants who only come to the hospitals for sometime.
The motive of the Ayesha Foundation ‘s free eye camp is to quickly detect the different types of eye related diseases. They have been carrying out tests for thousands of patients, and quite a number of them have been deemed suitable for free eye surgeries.
